Urban Street Lit Records is a record label wholly owned by Urban Street Lit Media, LLC. Dedicated to bridging Urban Street Lit with music, USL Records will focus on providing soundtracks to accompany the films’ DVDs as well as Soundtracks to Books! These soundtracks, packaged with the DVDs and Books, will feature “A” list urban acts, further enhancing product value.

Furthermore, USL Records will create a “home” for the genre’s authors to provide Books on CDs of their works.

Urban Street Lit Records has entered into a Joint Venture Agreement with Three Keys Music. Co owned by Jazz pianist Marcus Johnson and Robert L. Johnson (Founder of BET), Three Keys Music will be developing, marketing and distributing music content as companion pieces to USL Media’s projects. Specializing in contemporary jazz, the 12-employee independent label is leaving its imprint on the music industry with its blend of smooth grooves and soul-stirring beats. Since the label's founding two years ago, several of the artists on its eight-person roster have secured Top 20 spots on contemporary jazz charts. Late last year, Marcus took a leap into the R&B realm with female vocalist Yah Zarah, whose debut album, Blackstar, quickly hurdled its way up the Billboard charts, peaking at No. 44. The company garners most of its revenues from record sales, touring, and renting out its studio rooms for $80- $500 an hour. Marcus Johnson's current release The Phoenix is currently a top 10 hit on the Billboard charts.
